Catch Me Lyrics

i dunno, i think that the change of music is intertwined with the lyrics. at first it's a soft guitar and her voice, soft and unsure and hesitant, and that's the part where she doesn't want to really fall -- "so i can see how badly this will hurt me when you say goodbye."

as the song progresses she continues to be reluctant to really fall and confesses her fear of what her significant other could do ("i'm terrified of what you do, my stomach screams just when i look at you") to hurt her, but the chorus grows stronger with added violins and she says, "but you're so hypnotizing, you've got me laughing while i sing, you've got me smiling in my sleep."

and then the bridge happens, and she finally is okay with it ("but here i go, it's what i feel"), and then we get the faster guitars and drums, which are this last huge burst of excitement and this big final acceptance. "i'm giving up, so just catch me."

i think the musical is integral to understanding the song, and that demi has done an amazing job with both. i applaud her for this song, and all the other songs on her new album. it's an amazing CD.

i agree 100%

whoa thats very....presice! ait, is that spelled right? Anyways i agree 100%

I totally agree :) i never thought about it that way with the music and all but it makes complete sense!
