I agree with others, I do believe this is a song about Kurt Cobain's death and how it affected her. Some say Courtney is responsible for Kurt's death, but that's something that's left unknown. When I first heard this song, it made me respect Courtney so much more! With her refrences to the Pacific Coast highway, I think she has so much running through her mind that she just wants to drive the Pacific Coast highway to no end. When she speaks about how she's "drowning", I think that it ties into how she has so much running through her mind that it's drowning her inside and emotionally.
