And while they hate it - they keep putting themselves down with phrases like 'so unprofessional,' 'nothing exceptional,' 'you're nothing if you're just another' - it's the only way they feel like they're doing something right with themselves ('this is correctional.')
The sad thing about this song is that this person obviously has had no one to hold on to and sees themselves as completely worthless and screwed up. The chorus is absolutely heartrending.
