I'm reading that a lot of people are saying the song is about a girl who loves a guy who doesnt notice her. But to me it seems as if he WANTS to be with her and she WANTS to be with him desperately but something is keeping her from him. She "isolates her heart"/ "LONGS to be apart". And now that they are apart, she still watches him and wonders what it would be like. She believes the world spins for him but she cannot be with him. She longs to but she can't and she knows this. It's almost like she let him go and knows it's for the best because they cannot be together. Haha IDK!! That's my interpretation for some reason..

And if she can only be with him sometimes, then she cannot be with him at all. It would be unfair to the both of them.
Or this could be about a past relationship where she let him go, but still watches him knowing it wouldnt have worked.
