You see, God is like the moon, and religion is like a sign pointing to it, but the sign was built so big that it obstructs our view. We aren't supposed to look at the sign, but the moon, but so many of us are staring at the sign, the outside world thinks that the sign is our God, and not the moon it points to. Thus song is about tearing down the sign, and let the moon be the sign.
