This song kind of sounds like an issue between 2 former lovers and the woman is trying to move on and she is in a relationship but then the ex boyfriend enters the picture again. The reason I say that about the ex-bf is because of this bit here "she said i want you,just exactly like i used to". The girl in the song obviously is making reference to a past happening (an ex bf). It sounds like caleb is implying cheating but it's hard to tell."she was only ducking the truth" maybe she was sparing someone's feelings who had feelings for her but wasn't her bf. It sounds like some of of implication is that she was lying about the night w/e it happened. Mean while this guy (who is her current bf, potential bf or w/e)gets his hands on incriminating evidence of this girls act and is bummin real bad over it "night vision shows she was only ducking the truth". In the beginning caleb seems to be referencing getting shit faced cuz he is so torn up by this turn in events. Long story short, girl likes a guy mean while another guy has feelings for the same girl and finds out about the other guy. This is just a theory, someone give me some perspective cause this song is one of my favs. on the new cd. Like so many others, I just like the whole sound of the song.
