This person isn't feeling what he/she feels, or doing what he/she is doing for attention, but rather because they truly do feel this way, and "every sorrow of the soul will reap my name when I cease to exist" seems to be saying something like they're going to miss me when I'm gone.
I'm a little fuzzy on that verse.

Seems to be talking about when the person dies.
"I pray that forgiveness is mine to keep"
They hope they will receive forgiveness for the things they've done.

Not exactly sure what this line is referring to. Possibly Christ when he was on the cross, and by us doing things that aren't right or whatever, it pains Jesus.
Just a guess. Pretty sure I'm wrong though.
