I agree. This really is one of the best Silver Jews songs.

I understand that it's about a failed relationship, a seduction, and growing old/tired, but I can't really pin the meaning of this one down. But that's all for the best, I guess. It's a part of the magic that is David Berman.

I agree, even with the almost. It's been stuck in my head for days. It's been evening all day long. That's the most repeated part playing(in my head). What about what it means? I didn't come here for that, I just couldn't remember part of a line.
