Decode

This song is AMAZING! I think it was especially made for Twilight and that being the case I think that the song is from Bella's AND Edward's point of view. The first verse is Edward's

"How can I decide what's right When you're clouding up my mind? I can't win You're losing sight All the time"

"Not gonna ever own what's mine When you're always taking sides But you won't take away my pride No, not this time Not this time"

Edward is scared and confused as to why he can't read Bella's mind. He's upset that she almost made him lose control and all these feelings are new to him.

The second verse is Bella's point of view and what she is feeling.

"The truth is hiding in your eyes And it's hanging on your tongue Just boiling in my blood But you think that I can't see What kind of man that you are If you're a man at all Well, I will figure this one out On my own (I'm screaming, "I love you so") On my own (My thoughts you can't decode)"

Bella knows that there is something that Edward is hiding. She doesn't know that he is a vampire yet, this is still at the beginning, confusing stages of their relationship. "My thoughts you can't decode" Edward is unable to read Bella's mind.

"Do you see what we've done? We've gone and made such fools Of ourselves Do you see what we've done? We've gone and made such fools Of ourselves"

Both Bella and Edward are scared of this newfound love and the consequences that may follow.

The chorus basically tells of the pre-conceived notions that they had of eachother. They thought they had the other all figured out but now they are in completely new territory.

"There is something I see in you It might kill me I want it to be true"

The last lines speak of the hope that the love will grow.
