I actually think bethie might be on to something, look at some of the other song titles:
Ares: greek god of war
Mercury: messenger of roman mythology
Halo: obvious christian references, not sure of any other religious/mythological connetions
Biko: as already mentioned sukuna-biko is prominent in japanese culture
Trojan Horse: greek culture
Zypherus: found in traditional greek stories
Better than heaven: well...yeah.
@keystothekid There is actually an amazing amount of reference to Greek Mythology and Christianity, other religions motifs in Bloc Party's lyrics altogether. I feel like its a sort of reference to clashing and mixing of cultures, or being on the outside or against certain cultural circles. Or just part of general historical references, which they do often as well.
