I really love this song, I can really relate to just wanting to run away and search for what I've always wanted.
I think the song is more about achieving dreams then running away though.
The first stanza's two lines I see as a metaphor for getting up and doing something to achieve what you want, and how you shouldn't stop going for something and should not dwell not he past but create more.
It sounds like people are holding him back and just talk about improving themselves and that all the pain they talk about is just imagined because they dwell on it. To me its really about just doing something to reach your dream.
