I was listening to this song last night, and i think i know what it means now. i think its about a guy and a girl who were in a relationship and they split up, the guy still really likes the girl and wants to get back together, but the girl has gone off to do other things and has left him behind. I used to think that it was just about a guy who liked a girl but the song seems to be in the past tense. Also the line 'Give me a reason or give me a chance' says to me that the guy is asking her for a reason as to why she wont go back to him or just for another chance.
