Am I alone in your heart?
Have I hope with your heart?
She's such a teaser, she's such a star.
Give me a reason or gimme a chance.
Am I alone in your heart, or am I alone?
It tears me apart.
Am I alone?

Doing all I can do, just to be close to you.
Every time that we meet, I skip a heartbeat.
Always up for a laugh, she's a pain in the arse.
Every time that we meet, I skip a heartbeat.

Give me an evening, or give me a night.
I'll show you the time, of your life.
I'll walk you home safe, from the dark.
I'll give you my jacket, I'll give you my heart.
But she won't come dancing tonight,
She's having the time of her life.

Am I alone?
Doing all I can do, just to be close to you.
Every time that we meet, I skip a heartbeat.
Always up for a laugh, she's a pain in the arse.
Every time that we meet, I skip a heartbeat.

I do love, she does heartbreak.
I did love, till she broke my heart.

I do love, she does heartbreak.
I did love, till she broke my heart.

I do love, she does heartbreak.
I did love, till she broke my heart.

I do love, she does heartbreak.
I did love, till she broke my heart.

Doing all I can do, just to be close to you.
Every time that we meet, I skip a heartbeat.
Always up for a laugh, she's a pain in the arse.
Every time that we meet, I skip a heartbeat.
I skip a heartbeat for you.

Doing all I can do, just to be close to you.
Every time that we meet, I skip a heartbeat.
Always up for a laugh, she's a pain in the arse.
Every time that we meet, I skip a heartbeat.

I skip a heartbeat for you

can't believe no one's commented on this song yet! defntly one of my favourites from them!

to me, it's about a guy who's in love with a girl...who then leaves him, but he just wants her back!

    short n sweet hehe

i love this song, its amazing. i agree with both comments so far, i cant really decide on the meaning of this song. but i'd like to think its about a boy not telling a girl how he feels yet. this song is cute. [:

I think it's abouta guy who has confessed his love for a girl and she's sympathetic but doesn't feel the same way, and she continues having fun and socializing while he is "doing all i can do just to be close to you" and make her feel the same way.

All i can say is i know what that feels like :(

    Great song!

Doing all I can do, just to be close to you. Every time that we meet, I skip a heartbeat.

I think this part is the best.

"Give me a reason or give me a chance" brilliant. he has obv told her how he felt and she has turned him down with no particular reason so he wants her to give him a reason or at least give him a chance to show her how much he likes her and make her feel the same for him.

brill song from SFG! had heard them a few times but never really started listening to their other stuff till i heard this song! hope they come back to Glasgow soon!!:D

I think keaneisbeautiful has pretty much nailed it, all I can say is I'm in that exact position so the song means a lot to me, it's nice to know I'm not alone in feeling that way

Proves that Scouting for girls can actually write decent music. Also, it's funny how the twats over at IPC allow 'Pain in the arse' on the radio/tv, but with Nickelback they block out 'Dress my ass in the latest fashion'.

Oh how I love the media!

I was listening to this song last night, and i think i know what it means now. i think its about a guy and a girl who were in a relationship and they split up, the guy still really likes the girl and wants to get back together, but the girl has gone off to do other things and has left him behind. I used to think that it was just about a guy who liked a girl but the song seems to be in the past tense. Also the line 'Give me a reason or give me a chance' says to me that the guy is asking her for a reason as to why she wont go back to him or just for another chance. Just my interpretation, but i do really love this song.

I think its whatever situation your in yourself, like me, I really like this girl and when listening to this song, it reminds me of her and what I would do to be with her but I dont know for sure how she feels for defo...so to me this song is like theres a lad who loves a girl yet he dosnt know how she feels but shes very flirty and stuff but hes just totally in love with her...kinda sad...horrible feeling!!

Standing On The Edge Of Summer
Thursday
In regards to the meaning of this song: Before a live performance on the EP Five Stories Falling, Geoff states “It’s about the last time I went to visit my grandmother in Columbus, and I saw that she was dying and it was the last time I was going to see her. It is about realizing how young you are, but how quickly you can go.” That’s the thing about Geoff and his sublime poetry, you think it’s about one thing, but really it’s about something entirely different. But the lyrics are still universal and omnipresent, ubiquitous, even. So relatable. That’s one thing I love about this band. I also love their live performances, raw energy and Geoff’s beautiful, imperfectly perfect vocals. His voice soothes my aching soul.

I Can't Go To Sleep
Wu-Tang Clan
This song is written as the perspective of the boys in the street, as a whole, and what path they are going to choose as they get older and grow into men. (This is why the music video takes place in an orphanage.) The seen, and unseen collective suffering is imbedded in the boys’ mind, consciously or subconsciously, and is haunting them. Which path will the boys choose? Issac Hayes is the voice of reason, maybe God, the angel on his shoulder, or the voice of his forefathers from beyond the grave who can see the big picture and are pleading with the boys not to continue the violence and pattern of killing their brothers, but to rise above. The most beautiful song and has so many levels. Racism towards African Americans in America would not exist if everyone sat down and listened to this song and understood the history behind the words. The power, fear, pleading in RZA and Ghostface voices are genuine and powerful. Issac Hayes’ strong voice makes the perfect strong father figure, who is possibly from beyond the grave.
