Well I see it from another point of view. It could be about a girl who is married/goes out with a man that is quite violent and he has murdered other women but he is not in jail (or whatever) because police (or whoever LOL) had no proof. Maybe every night he comes back at home drunk, and that's why she say something about another fight and another night. And she knows everything that is going to happen, so she records the murder to have a proof so they can catch them. And having a relationship would make more sense for the "Youre jealous, oh, Youre jealous why?" part than if she was a prostitute.
