"don't dwell" meaning, lagging around in your past experiences, good or bad, doesn't get you anywhere in life. just go with it and don't let anyone affect how you feel about you or what/who you care about. only you need to appreciate you and you don't need anyone else's consent. if you can't do that, you're in for a miserable ride, "that will leave you in hell". how can that be your favorite song if you don't know what it means?
