Why are there no comments on this song??? This is in my opinion the best less than jake song there is. The lyrics are amazing and its probably thir best guitar song.
doesnt need a lot of explination, just that he's at a point in his life that he can't stand and he's not who he used to be anymore and he hopes everyone remembers the old him because he doesn't like who he's become so hes about to let it all out.
@soadfan8 So, 15 years later I finally decided to see the meaning. As I'm Brazilian, not all songs have such an obvious meaning so I always try to see. With this song I got it right and I add the anger component, which for me is what short fuse burning means, a bomb about to explode. He clearly has issues with anger management. This song is awesome and I can relate to it because I've been fired by blowing up with my boss and I've been kicked out of bars, it's very difficult to control. Great album and great music.
