I think it's saying that small towns may be all that you know for now but eventually you will be able to break free of all of that, so for now you can sleep knowing that tomorrow may be the day you get to move on...
It really makes you feel safe knowing that you can always move and grow past this place that your stuck in... maybe the small town is the world, and tthe other place is whatever is beyond here
