George wasn't a Buddhist. Buddhism is non-theistic. Sri Krsna is God, he was part of the Krishna Consciousness, or 'Hare Krishna' movement, based on Hindu Vedic teachings. When he says he wants to get out of this place by Krsna's grace, he simply means he wants to stop the cycle of birth and rebirth and get to heaven to be with God. The song itself is just about how the material world isn't really real, it's all temporary, the spiritual abode of God is where he really wants to be.
