to me this song means this:
The first verse he talks about he's sleeping spiritually and God is waking him up. Sleeping spiritually is a metaphor for going through the motives as a christian. Physically he's doing it all, but it's not heartfelt. Second verse, he notices he's trying to convince himself he's fine, and he's thinking that's just him "sleeptalking" to himself. Just another effect of sleepwalking. Like, he's comfortable in his spot and doesn't want to admit he's not doing good. If he does admit it, he'd have to change. The bridge, he's forseeing what his death will be like, just before he goes to be judged by Jesus. The chorus is a little tougher, but here's my try on it: Sleepwalk in the light, during the day as a christian he's sleepwalking. Then during the night, he physically sleeps. I guess he's saying that's his day, he "sleepwalks" during daylight and the light.
