i actually prefer the live version of this that i have, there's a certain quality to his voice that's different and almost urgent-sounding. and i love the twelve-stepping-cop thing. this version's more angry than the album version.
and i have some corrections. i think these are right, if not, oh well. correct me.

but as to what it means...i think this version expresses the meaning much more blatantly. and that's partially what makes it sound angrier and it's also part of why i like it better.
it's about people thinking they know what's best for you and not being open to other options.
i think the sun is basically like people and their opinions? they're lazy because they think there's one solution to your problems, and they're pushy with it.
and the "you're the one who's bringing it all about" part is basically saying that if you hadn't gotten into this situation, you wouldn't have these people forcing their methods onto you, like the "twelve-stepping cop" thing which basically speaks for itself.
