In light of the lust theme, Blindside may be asserting that sin (lust) has us bound in chains, and if we love like God loves us, we can be freed from our bondage. Paul talks about finding freedom in Christ in many of his letters (Galatians 5:1). Being liberated from our sinful lust will allow us to long for a love that is pure, God's love ('don't you ever long for purity?').
