numbheart; its very tough to think anything other then what you think. believe me, i struggle with that everyday. i am a christian; i am proud of what i believe, i will admit to what i believe but the way christianity especially is carried out in our civilization makes it increasingly difficult to take seriously or take on board. the only way christianity or Christ for that matter can be witnessed today is through "christians" and just because someone is a christian doesnt mean they are perfect, or even anywhere near it at times, so unfortunately this portrait of christianity is often tarnished by the very person trying to convey it to others. The only thing that gets my by this bitterness and train of thought is that what i believe in isnt dictated by my fellow christians or the people around me. It is from God, of God, to me. no-one else has anything to do with it. so any problem i have with anything is between me and God. and any if i have a problem with someone else, what they are doing, or what they believe i adopt the same approach i use for myself; that is is between them and God.
anyway, i just thought i would share that cause it seems like you have experienced hipocracy and imperfection through a believer. anyway, i hope it helped, anyone.
