Songs like world war me and waltz moore were really deep lyrics that showed his low self image and how he was becoming this icon for being unhappy.
I think this song is about how he wants to change that to still show his feelings but for them to inspire people and make himself happier.
But i could be totally wrong. Its so metaphorical [sp] it could be interpreted as so many things.
