I agree that it's about the first "sexual encounter," and that you get carried away and later realize its true worth, or lack thereof. It reminds me of my first serious SERIOUS relationship, though we didn't have sex or anything (I was 14/15 and it was a year ago). The serious tone of the song also reminds me of how the relationship was so serious, we hardly ever laughed and often "bonded" (not in a dirty sense) in private by just quietly holding hands or whatnot. We were both "lonely" as the song states, there was the "lust" as the song states, and MAN did I slip away and believe it all... I also feel that I can relate to the slight hint of regret in the song as well, though mine is less subtle. Black Celebration is by far DM's best album to date.
