This song has such beautiful vocals, as the others. But i agree with SuMgUy. We've all been in situations where we feel one thing and the othe person feels something completely different. But in many instances, we stay because of either the time put into a relationship, or even more radically, just the sheer spectacle of it all. Love is the most extravagant(and i've never felt so invincible) and scary(dont tear us apart again) thing one can do and as destructive(chemistry of a car crash) as it is, sometimes its easier to stay with all the issues then leave and deal with them on your own.
But obviously the person in this song realizes it isn't worth the pain and opts to let go. You can see there are problems in the second stanza.
