You're waking up
A part of me I've never known
And I've never felt
So invincible
What took you so far away'
You're lost for tonight again
That's what you wanted'
Your arms to your side again..
Just take away the words I say
Cause I know
That you don't feel the same
Just go and say
What's in your head
And I won't try to stop you
You hold the rights I'll never own
And I've never felt
So alien
Don't tear us apart again
What is the use of it
We're ok :) it's nothing . .
It's all chemistry of a car crash
And I won't try so you'll stay
This time
I won't try
And I won't change
This time I won't try
To stop you
A part of me I've never known
And I've never felt
So invincible
What took you so far away'
You're lost for tonight again
That's what you wanted'
Your arms to your side again..
Just take away the words I say
Cause I know
That you don't feel the same
Just go and say
What's in your head
And I won't try to stop you
You hold the rights I'll never own
And I've never felt
So alien
Don't tear us apart again
What is the use of it
We're ok :) it's nothing . .
It's all chemistry of a car crash
And I won't try so you'll stay
This time
I won't try
And I won't change
This time I won't try
To stop you

Hayalperest
This song seemingly tackles the methods of deception those who manipulate others use to get victims to follow their demands, as well as diverting attention away from important issues. They'll also use it as a means to convince people to hate or kill others by pretending acts of terrorism were committed by the enemy when the acts themselves were done by the masters of control to promote discrimination and hate. It also reinforces the idea that these manipulative forces operate in various locations, infiltrating everyday life without detection, and propagate any and everywhere.
In general, it highlights the danger of hidden agendas, manipulation, and distraction, serving as a critique of those who exploit chaos and confusion to control and gain power, depicting a cautionary tale against falling into their traps. It encourages us to question the narratives presented to us and remain vigilant against manipulation in various parts of society.

Overall about difficult moments of disappointment and vulnerability. Having hope and longing, while remaining optimistic for the future. Encourages the belief that with each new morning there is a chance for things to improve.
The chorus offers a glimmer of optimism and a chance at a resolution and redemption in the future.
Captures the rollercoaster of emotions of feeling lost while loving someone who is not there for you, feeling let down and abandoned while waiting for a lover. Lost with no direction, "Now I'm up in the air with the rain in my hair, Nowhere to go, I can go anywhere"
The bridge shows signs of longing and a plea for companionship. The Lyrics express a desire for authentic connection and the importance of Loving someone just as they are. "Just in passing, I'm not asking. That you be anyone but you”
Mountain Song
Jane's Addiction
Jane's Addiction
Jane's Addiction vocalist Perry Farrell gives Adam Reader some heartfelt insight into Jane’s Addiction's hard rock manifesto "Mountain Song", which was the second single from their revolutionary album Nothing's Shocking. Mountain song was first recorded in 1986 and appeared on the soundtrack to the film Dudes starring Jon Cryer. The version on Nothing's Shocking was re-recorded in 1988.
"'Mountain Song' was actually about... I hate to say it but... drugs. Climbing this mountain and getting as high as you can, and then coming down that mountain," reveals Farrell. "What it feels to descend from the mountain top... not easy at all. The ascension is tough but exhilarating. Getting down is... it's a real bummer. Drugs is not for everybody obviously. For me, I wanted to experience the heights, and the lows come along with it."
"There's a part - 'Cash in now honey, cash in Miss Smith.' Miss Smith is my Mother; our last name was Smith. Cashing in when she cashed in her life. So... she decided that, to her... at that time, she was desperate. Life wasn't worth it for her, that was her opinion. Some people think, never take your life, and some people find that their life isn't worth living. She was in love with my Dad, and my Dad was not faithful to her, and it broke her heart. She was very desperate and she did something that I know she regrets."
American Town
Ed Sheeran
Ed Sheeran
Ed Sheeran shares a short story of reconnecting with an old flame on “American Town.” The track is about a holiday Ed Sheeran spends with his countrywoman who resides in America. The two are back together after a long period apart, and get around to enjoying a bunch of fun activities while rekindling the flames of their romance.
this song, to me, is about a guy who's in an off and on relationship with a girl. He obviously loves her, but she doesn't return the feelings. They get back together, break up, and repeat the cycle. their relationship is a "car crash", a "wreck". he's tired of her playing with his emotions and wants some restitution. This time, he's saying he "won't stop her". He's gonna finally let her leave.
absolutely love this song.
For me it just feels like when i feel in love with my best friend, who also happens to be a girl. Your mind can seriously play tricks on you. i think its about someone likeing someone and being in a realtionship and them just leading you on. but you dont realise it because your so obsessed with them. until finally u start to realize it and by then youve completely humiliated yourself and you just want to take the words away. finally you just have to let them go.
I really like the way you put "by then youve completely humiliated yourself and you just want to take the words away" Because that is so true. I felt exactly the same.

I fell in love with my best friend - we were both boys (17-18 years old). I'm 23 now, and this song still means a lot to me. About that relationship and the time, and how I felt. However I do think this song made me realise a few things and get over the guy.

I came back to it recently as my Mum, for her 60th, decided to make a book that has a quote from everyone attending the party and it should be a lyric, recipe, quote e.t.c that is important to that person. I've chosen this and it was a pivotal moment in my life.

Luckily now I've just had my first year anniversary with the man of my dreams, so it's all good now.
i don't know exactly what this song is about but from i think i feel its about a relationship. the guy one stage felt invisable and was happy when he had her, but suddenly she didn't know what she wanted and faded from him. because she just suddenly left he knows that she doesn't feel the same as he does. he wants her to tell him whats on her mind as it seems to be she never gave him answers so he wants to at least know why she left and he won't stop her from what she wants as this has my happened more then once. i feel that his feelings with the situation feels like a chemistry of a car crash. sorry if i think completely wrong but maybe thats how i see it
I have no idea what the song means. I just like it. Alot.
this is a great song. to me it sounds like chad has fallen for this girl that has brought out a side of him he didnt know existed (you’re waking up a part of me i’ve never known) and he has a notion that its a mutual feeling coming from this girl, so he feels "invincible" to anything that can come between them when there is obviously something going on between them. The chorus tells it all:
just take away the words i say cause i know that you don’t feel the same just go and say what’s in your head and i won’t try to stop you
As the song goes on, it expresses how they have had problems but they are trying to avoid them. (what is the use of it, we’re ok it’s nothing . .). The last part of the song after the chorus is simply saying that he is over trying to keep her to stay because its obviously what she doesnt want. He wont try and wont change himself to keep her around:
and i won’t try so you’ll stay this time i won’t try and i won’t change this time i won’t try to stop you
The song title is a metaphor for what it takes (the chemistry) to break up (a car crash).
basically I love this song, basically lol. I think that the guy is in love with a girl who's promiscuous. He's loves her but the next time he's not gonna try to stop her. He knows that the relationship will end terribly, referring to the metaphor "the chemistry of a car crash)
SuMgUy has something going there... but car crashes...as bad as they are. seem to draw a lot of people in. so while the relationship may be bad its the chemistry of it all that draws it in.
that is my opinion of course.
This song has such beautiful vocals, as the others. But i agree with SuMgUy. We've all been in situations where we feel one thing and the othe person feels something completely different. But in many instances, we stay because of either the time put into a relationship, or even more radically, just the sheer spectacle of it all. Love is the most extravagant(and i've never felt so invincible) and scary(dont tear us apart again) thing one can do and as destructive(chemistry of a car crash) as it is, sometimes its easier to stay with all the issues then leave and deal with them on your own. But obviously the person in this song realizes it isn't worth the pain and opts to let go. You can see there are problems in the second stanza.
you’re lost for tonight again that’s what you wanted? your arms to your side again..
Seems like a fight to me.
This is irrelevent completely, but this is the kind of song you can listen to in any situation. Weather it be when you're upset, happy, content etc. I know the lyrics don't match that...but the overall song does.
love this song. shiny toy guns rock my socks.
