I get the impression that it's about being human and in a relationship. We're all so messed up and just want someone. You just want to be a better person and you keep fucking up things, and want to stop repeating that. And when people are upset they lash out, and the other side does exactly the same back and the mess gets much worse.

"No sense looking backwards..." how there's no point looking at the past, and how all the plans are ruined. It's all going to hell.
"Always thought..." more defeatism.
"And I stash all..." how we let the tiny things fester and build and build until it finally breaks and everything pours out in one massive argument that is just destroying the feelings from the other person.
"And everytime..." how he's aware this is murdering the relationship.
