Is there anyway I can fix it
Take out my tools maybe smash with it
Let me destroy the parts that annoy

swallow the words I'm saving
Fumble the chords I'm playing
Better just break it apart
Then where should they go

but you know I'm just following suit
It's something I aim not to do
Can't mock up a model me and you

is someone out there
I can trust
With the words that never seem to fit

no sense looking backwards
Shattered every mirror in my eye
Scattering the scrapbook
Blueprints on the floor

always thought things would snap into place
With a little more ease and grace
Still a ship sealed in a bottle
Never reaches the sea

and I stash all of the reasons
Dash them against the wall
And I smash your heart into tiny little pieces

and every time this happens
It gets harder and harder to build back again

General CommentI'm sure there is no comments because this song is so new, but to me it relates a lot. I'm withdrawling very badly from a drug I've been prescribed for about 10 years.. Anyway it means to me that they are singing about trying to destroy the parts in your mind or life that hurt, but they arn't sure if it's the right thing to do because they don't know what will happen or where the broken pieces will go. Beautiful song!!

General CommentI get the impression that it's about being human and in a relationship. We're all so messed up and just want someone. You just want to be a better person and you keep fucking up things, and want to stop repeating that. And when people are upset they lash out, and the other side does exactly the same back and the mess gets much worse.

"Is there..." realising it's a mess and wanting to be better.

"Swallow the words..." self deprecation and defeat.

"But you know I'm just..." how self preservation always makes things worse and he's trying not to do that.

"Is someone out..." how we all just want someone to turn to.

"No sense looking backwards..." how there's no point looking at the past, and how all the plans are ruined. It's all going to hell.

    "Always thought..." more defeatism.

"And I stash all..." how we let the tiny things fester and build and build until it finally breaks and everything pours out in one massive argument that is just destroying the feelings from the other person.

"And everytime..." how he's aware this is murdering the relationship.

And I just wish it wasn't true.
