i wouldn't say this song is romantic. well... yes i suppose it is but it is more about a desperate man who can't stop thinking about this girl but he doesn't know how to get the message across. he doesn't want to say it to her because he thinks he'll screw it up and alienate himself and then he'll never have a chance.
