Wolves can be looked at as demons, or some sort of thing/person after you. Maybe a person who abuses this certain guy that's singing this song. Fill in the blanks. So, you have to run and "hide your scent" so they don't catch you and hurt you because, obviously, he doesn't want to be hurt again. He's running away from this hurt and pain, trying to escape. Just a thought. And the line that says: "As the rain seeps through your aged and tired dress" ...well, dress is for a woman. So, "aged and tired"...this could mean his mom maybe. He could be talking to his mom (Notice in this line: "Something isn't right. See it in your face")
