This song is beautiful. I think its all about that confusion one feels when it comes to religion and what they believe, and hes speaking to fellow people (most people have probably wondered about what to believe about life and if there is a heaven or hell)

Where he says "When you showed me myself, I became someone else" I think hes suggesting he learnt to asses how he lives his life and changed his ways.
