This song is beautiful. I think its all about that confusion one feels when it comes to religion and what they believe, and hes speaking to fellow people (most people have probably wondered about what to believe about life and if there is a heaven or hell) And comforts with the line "May gods love be with you" Where he says "When you showed me myself, I became someone else" I think hes suggesting he learnt to asses how he lives his life and changed his ways. Joseph arthur does a wonderful cover of this song, Its the olny version I have heard, I'd like to hear this though.
meh joseph arthur actually did the original peter gabriel covered so did coldplay and some guy from REM for hurricane katrina oh, howie day does a cover too arthurs is the best haha xx
