"Forever Changes" has been one of my all-time favorite albums for decades now. It still sounds fresh, unpredictable and amazing. I am not familiar with this Bottle Rocket movie that people are talking about, but if people are discovering Love in this way, then that's a good thing.
This a great Bryan MacLean song, and it is remarkable that it is one of the most known and covered Love songs, since Arthur Lee was the band's leader and main songwriter. (Arthur's songs on "Forever Changes" tend to be more obliquely structured and have very abstract lyrics.)
The Damned did a good cover version of this song in 1986. More recently, Sid & Susie (aka Matthew Sweet and Susanna Hoffs) did a respectable version. But the original is the best.
