i think you are wrong. i think that song is about the youths who took part in the 68-movement and the whole protests in the 60s and 70s in germany. like all those people who were protesting against the government, against all those old nazis who still had major influence, against the prude german society, against sexual discrimnation, against the vietnam war and the us, against the persian shah.......... it's about all those people who were occupying houses and so on. they all had big illusions, many of them were stupid, but they also managed to change a lot. but now al lot of those people stopped having illusions and act as if they had never participated in this movement.
