I've seen these guys live twice, and I saw a huge scar on the arm of Jeffrey (vocalist). Possible that he tried to commit suicide? This sounds like it could be about that: how he feels bad over everything he cannot be, then there 'slashed-up wrists' bit, then eventually overcoming this all and overwinning the urges to commit suicide?
