after thinking about it for a while and listening to the song a bunch of more times i sort of think it's more about religion and shit. yeah, i like his religious sarcasm also, and i appreciate it because i was sort of raised to be catholic and then i developed an attitude similar to his. everything i just said was pointless, yet i will continue to say more pointless things. i hate how it is assumed that the reason one is opposed to religions is beauce they are uneducated in the area. i have gone to catholic school for most of my life and i have and am taking a course in which i learn about many different religions, but i passionately oppose all religions. i am not corrupt and i do have morals. i am fogiving of others and i am at peace with myself. i do not need religion. there is not such thing as god.
@rivotskickmyhat Maybe after all these years you've come to realize something different. I know back then my views were so much different than today. Anyway my take on this song is that it's about Trent's drug addiction and how bad he wanted to get away from it but it kept sucking him back as well as sucking the life out of him and and almost killing him. Thank God he eventually got "clean" . His reference to feeling so dirty on the inside was another clue for me to side it that way.
