It's obviuosly in the beginning of the relationship, he is falling is love and this time the girl is gonna stay for the night, yee whoooo! She's moving in or it's in that intial phase.
That's interesting. I always interpreted this song as being a bit sad. The line "for more than just a day" is why. It's as if the girl is continually coming in and out of the guy's life/company. He likes being with her, obviously, but she's undecided over him. Maybe I got it wrong, but that line does sound a bit ambiguous.
