its a bittersweet song..
i think its about ppl who share some special or rare interests which bond them in a kind of fascinating relationship, like its all too good to be true. For that period of time they cant believe how incredable each other are alike. but then reality kicks in and one person realises how different they lives really is aside from the interests... (im speaking from personal experience here) ...and so their relationship comes to an abrupt stop.
