i definately like what FANElite said but i always thought it was about one of them falling into alcholoism and it was tearing their relationship apart. "this poison comes instruction free" (which, by the way, is probably the best line they've ever come up with...i love it). "You'll burn me" Maybe hes talking about how it hurts him how shes killing herself with liquor or something like that. maybe vice versa. i dont know. or perhaps its about how his friends girlfriend is having affair with him. he really likes her but dosent want to sacrifice the friendship for her. "id rather live life in regret than do this". he really wants her and knows hell regret it if he pushes her away but hed rather have his friend. either theory for me.
