omg why has no one commented on this song yet?! its amazing!! one of the best on the original 'boys for Pele album' though i dont think its on all editions. i think its about her looking for guys to give her what she needs in relationships. the 'springtime of his voodoo' refers to that magic/spark there is when you just start out with someone ('the springtime' being the new start with that person, as its the start of the new cycle of the earth) when anything seems possible and its full of potential. however she sees him as being the key to the magik ('HIS voodoo') so inevitably it doesnt work and shes left lamenting all they could have shared - 'He was going to show me spring'. jmo...maybe im reading too much into it lol.
