SIGH omg. I used to be obsessed with this song when i was in grade 9 only because i was totally in love with ashley and erick from the group LOL. But i was listening to it last night, and i realized how sad it all was....because i am in that situation. But from both sides (how retarded it that). I was going out with my boyfriend for almost 3 years, but things were really rocky with us,,,and for the last year, i started liking my best friend (who is a guy too lol). I tried to deny it but it was so hard because i saw him more than i saw my boyfriend. I couldn't handle it any longer, and when i found out that my friend liked me too, i knew that things just had to end for me and my boyfriend..so i broke up with him. So in that aspect, i know how it feels to be the girl who is thinking about that other guy with that "distant look in my eye".
But now, my friend...we kinda got together, but there is a past to him too. He was in love with this other girl (so he says) but she hurt him too much. So they just stopped whatever it is they had. but after a few weeks with our thing, it was just getting really weird, and we both started to feel guilty. Later on...he told me that he knew that as soon as his "love" came back from holidays, he would be crazy about her again.
I don't know if he still likes me or not, but i love him so much as a best friend, cuz he is awesome....the crappy thing is that i know he thinks about her, and he really likes her...and yeah, it does suck being in second place.
grr. have to get over him. but this song is sad. made me think and not sleep
