This is an awesome song from the point of view of one of Christ's apostles (probably Peter). It is of how he never could believe that He would really be crucified or that someone could really kill the Son of God. He talks about how he is angry/wants to fight those who prophesied of Christ's death because he feels he doomed Him to this path.
In the first verse he talks about how the time has come, the chains are welded and prepared, the sentance is pronounced, and no one stands up for Him.
The last verse talks about the time He spends alone on the cross with no support, and how the people fear what they have done.
Possibly (in my eyes) one of the best songs on the "Alles Fuer Den Herrn" album, and possibly of all Xavier Naidoo songs. It's a great album, I reccomend iteven if you don't speak German, but if you do, it's a great album of religious nature with very up-beat songs.
