I happen to like Kid Rock and Radiohead. The song is nothing to do with Radiohead, its just the same as most other Kid Rock songs, telling you about his life in a mildly amusing way.
The reference in the video is just a cheeky little dig at Radiohead, no big deal. I like both but theres obviously a difference in the kind of music they make. Radiohead take their music extremely seriously, where as Kid Rock although serious in some respects is just about him having a ball. Critics of Kid Rock often highlight that he has nothing to say and his songs all follow a similar theme, which is largely true. However there is no point in Kid Rock trying to be "inventive" like Radiohead because thats just not who he his.
