You never met a motherfucker quite like me! Was MY rep on the streets of South Florida in the 80s and 90s. My entire family knew teenage Bobby in the mid 80s when he came to Florida for awhile. One night after I took care of a problem my brother and Bobby were dealing with. Bobby was like damn I never saw someone do something like that! My answer to him was that he probably wouldn’t because “ you never met a motherfucker quite like me”. He told me that night that he was going to steal my rep and I didn’t think a thing about it. That is until I said it to somebody right after he released the song and they accused me of copying Kid Rock. I didn’t know that Bobby had made it like he dreamed about when I knew him as a teenager until I was accused of copying him. I am actively trying to reclaim what is mine and I have been trying to get in touch with Bobby. So if anyone who knows him sees this posting please send it to him. I’m not trying to fight with an old friend but I’m tired of being told that I made this story up as I’m being laughed at. I don’t want his money I need him to give me credit for the expression. My son thinks that his dear old dad is trying to impress him with a tall tale when I completely speak the truth.

I happen to like Kid Rock and Radiohead. The song is nothing to do with Radiohead, its just the same as most other Kid Rock songs, telling you about his life in a mildly amusing way. The reference in the video is just a cheeky little dig at Radiohead, no big deal. I like both but theres obviously a difference in the kind of music they make. Radiohead take their music extremely seriously, where as Kid Rock although serious in some respects is just about him having a ball. Critics of Kid Rock often highlight that he has nothing to say and his songs all follow a similar theme, which is largely true. However there is no point in Kid Rock trying to be "inventive" like Radiohead because thats just not who he his.
I think that Duddits got it exactly right. If he doesn't like radio head it's his choice. I saw an interview of Kid Rock and basically he just "doesn't get that type of music". I don't really listen to radiohead so I can't offer too much on them. As far as kid rock goes, the guy is genius in some twisted way. When people say "kid rock is a joke", maybe they're onto something because a joke makes people laugh. His music makes me laugh, in a good way. As ridiculous as some of it is it just makes me happy hearing it.
Also, as far as his instrumental skills go, I can assure everyone that he can play almost every instrument on stage well, because i had the privilege of seeing him in concert. Simply amazing. He electrifies a coleseum like no other!
