Cover art for Dreamgirl lyrics by Dave Matthews Band

I think the "after a good good drunk" lyric could actually be literally translated to "after a good good drink (or series of drinks)" but is pronouced "drunk" to capture the essence of the state of being drunk. He did something similar in the Bartender Please intro to Nancies at the Central Park Concert when he says "I wasn't plannin' on gettin' druuunk tonite"- it's the slurred speech of belligerence. This one single word within the song ("drunk") completely captures an entire experience, not because of the word itself but the WAY he sings that one word.
