Cover art for Sorrow lyrics by Bad Religion

Knowing that Greg Graffin is atheist I'm pretty sure that this song is about the neverending meaningless sorrow brought on by war over religion. Read the below lines with this thought in mind and it will make sense. let me take you the herding ground
where all good men are trampled down just to settle a bet that cannot be won between the prideful father and his son well, you guard me now for can't see a reason for this suffering and this long misery the herding ground - battle fields the bet that cannot be won - which religion is right

and whoever said this was the best BR song needs to hear Generator

@KabukiGuy actuall mr brett was the song writer. the bet between a father and a son i would guess that he is talking about the story of job, but thats a geuss and i absolutely agree with you about christians and the bible, god does not only condone slavery he explains exactly how they are to be punished and what is , according to god, how not to punish the slaves. You mentioned the first five books of the bible, it's funny you said 5 and not 4, or 6, the first 5 books were written by moses.
