i agree with both mofn and jj. i think when Daniel wrote these lyrics, he wanted to base the beginning of the end partly on Scripture. after all, God abandoning us would essentially be the end of the world, so why shouldn't everything still end the way it was predicted (i could go into a lot of theological "what if's" with that, but i won't since frankly i don't care enoug myself).
