"The Rising End (The First Prophecy)" as written by and Jesse T Smith Daniel William Weyandt....
Bombs rain down like heaven's tears
The earth shall die and disappear
And today, we wish the skies were grey
For now they're just black and empty

Ripped and torn from inside out
Things too dark to think about
No miracles
No bleeding hands
God has parted

And when the end, she comes
Rains down on everyone
Fire from the sky
And when the end, she rides
Breathing out suicide
Life and death are one

As a flame burns to touch the sky
So it shall be with man's cry
And this night all will pass away
And this night we shall die as one

General Comment1I watched as the Lamb opened the first of the seven seals. Then I heard one of the four living creatures say in a voice like thunder, “Come!” 2I looked, and there before me was a white horse! Its rider held a bow, and he was given a crown, and he rode out as a conqueror bent on conquest.
3When the Lamb opened the second seal, I heard the second living creature say, “Come!” 4Then another horse came out, a fiery red one. Its rider was given power to take peace from the earth and to make men slay each other. To him was given a large sword.

5When the Lamb opened the third seal, I heard the third living creature say, “Come!” I looked, and there before me was a black horse! Its rider was holding a pair of scales in his hand. 6Then I heard what sounded like a voice among the four living creatures, saying, “A quart[a] of wheat for a day's wages,[b] and three quarts of barley for a day's wages,[c] and do not damage the oil and the wine!”

7When the Lamb opened the fourth seal, I heard the voice of the fourth living creature say, “Come!” 8I looked, and there before me was a pale horse! Its rider was named Death, and Hades was following close behind him. They were given power over a fourth of the earth to kill by sword, famine and plague, and by the wild beasts of the earth.

General CommentNothing off The Funeral Of God has any real Biblical meaning. It's a _concept_ album. What IF God decided to die?

General CommentI agree with mofn_nine. Here is where God begins His departure. War and strife overcome the whole earth. When men cry to the heavens, their screams are as a flame burning to reach the sky, continually getting higher but never reaching its target. Also, we see that there is no more salvation or sacrifice from Christ. "No miracles, no bleeding hands." This truly defines a time when life and death are equally terrible and thus are one. It doesn't get any worse than this and truly is a think "to dark to think about."

General Commenti agree with both mofn and jj. i think when Daniel wrote these lyrics, he wanted to base the beginning of the end partly on Scripture. after all, God abandoning us would essentially be the end of the world, so why shouldn't everything still end the way it was predicted (i could go into a lot of theological "what if's" with that, but i won't since frankly i don't care enoug myself).

General CommentWhat if God decided that he was tired of Humanity spitting in His face and decided to give them what they wanted. Really beautiful album, yet dark. I love every single song off the entire album, and I'm an _old_ Zao fan too.

General CommentWell, the theme of the album pretty much explains the song. After God has "parted" there are no "miracles" and man has nothing to depend on. The sky is black and empty for we have lost "our everything" and we wish that it could atleast be gray, anything but this.

I also agree with JJ though...Nice idea.
