society tells us that every child needs to have a father-figure.. and so the mother's find someone to be the father figure in the family. family problems fixed right?
well reality shows us that this isn't always the case.
sometimes through the stress of life, or for whatever reason.. the fathers end up becoming alcoholics, and that leads to the abuse of the mother and child/children...
the last part of the song is actually incorrect:
it should say

which would be the step-father talking...
