AC stands for Alternating Current, and DC stands for Direct Current. which are different ways of providing power via electricity. and both Edison and Tesla sided with (and thought up) the different ways (AC and DC). Edison favored Direct Current, which is like water through a hose, a continuous flow of electrons, and Tesla favored Alternating Current, which is more confusing...a rivalry ensued over which way was better. it eventually ended and AC won, and Tesla went insane, later inventing a "Death Ray", and having intense fears of everything round.
